Who made it?
-Stardew Valley 1.0 was developed completely solo by ConcernedApe (Eric Barone), over the course of 4.5 years. It was released on February 26th, 2016.
-The 1.1 update was also developed solo by ConcernedApe.
-For the 1.3 update, ConcernedApe created the new gameplay content, and Tom Coxon (formerly of Chucklefish) developed the net-code, allowing co-op multiplayer in Stardew Valley. 1.3 launched in 2018 for PC & Switch, and launched on PS4 & XBOX in 2019.
-Console ports are done by Sickhead Games, and mobile ports are done by The Secret Police.
-For the 1.4 update, game developers Arthur Lee and Alex Erlandson joined up with Eric to continue working on Stardew Valley.
-Currently, the Stardew team is just Eric & Arthur.
Who is the publisher?
Stardew Valley is self-published by ConcernedApe on PC, Switch, Xbox One, Playstation 4, and Playstation Vita. Chucklefish is publisher on mobile.
Does Stardew Valley have controller support?
Yes. Stardew Valley supports Xbox One and Xbox 360 controllers on PC, and has full controller support on Xbox One, Playstation 4 and Nintendo Switch. Some aspects of the game, like choosing names for your character or your animals, still require use of the keyboard on PC.
